What is the First State's Favorite Halloween Candy?

Here’s a hint: it’s not chocolate.

Well, at least it’s not candy corn, right? According to the researchers at Candystore.com, Life Savers are the top-selling treat in Delaware during Halloween for the third year in a row. You won’t find any other state handing out these ring-shaped, fruit-flavored candies; Delaware is the only state where these treats reign supreme.

Candy corn stole the runner-up spot in Delawareans hearts and bellies while championing in six states: Nevada, New Mexico, Idaho, Michigan, Alabama and Rhode Island. Perhaps consider going trick-or-treating in neighboring Maryland or Pennsylvania this year; Maryland’s favorite treat is the Milky Way, while Pennsylvania loves their Skittles.
