You don’t have to hit the boardwalk arcade to get your game on at the beach. Lefty’s Alley & Eats, tucked behind the Wawa on Route 1 near Home Goods and the turnoff to the Cape May-Lewes Ferry, packs a lot of activities—and a restaurant—under one roof. The new facility includes 16 bowling lanes, an arcade with both cutting-edge and retro games, and a laser tag area.
Special summer packages and recent price reductions have made this recreation haven even more appealing. “We listened to the community,” says Jenny Gooner, director of operations. “We understand that families want to make a budget for their vacation.”
Lefty’s recently unveiled the Summer Fun Pass, which includes two hours of unlimited video games, unlimited laser tag, two rounds of Laser Frenzy and $5 of game play. The price is $25 per person. There are no restrictions on the day or time.
The Sunday Family Funday package features one hour of bowling, including shoe rental, a large pizza and pitcher of soda, four rounds of laser tag and $10 of game play. The fee is $69 for a family of four.

On Fridays and Saturdays, friends can linger over dinner in Lefty’s restaurant and then enjoy unlimited bowling between 10 p.m. and 1 a.m., for $20 a person with a minimum of four people per lane.
These are just a few of the game and food specials that Lefty’s offers throughout the week, and all the activities have an a la carte price. The bowling lanes were once $60 per hour during peak times. Restructured prices are between $25 and $45 an hour per lane, with a maximum of six people per lane. And you don’t need to pause for a nosh or a libation: Servers come to the lanes, and you can choose from the full restaurant menu.
If you’re looking for a party place, Lefty’s offers customized events for large groups and corporate functions, as well as for kids.
