The Face of Change in Higher Ed

Goldey-Beacom College has a new President, Dr. Colleen Perry Keith, who is bringing the College community together to chart GBC’s future.  Campus expansion is already underway, with a prominent new building to house an additional 152 students, and expanded dining options, meeting space, and athletic training facilities.  But Dr. Keith has much more change in mind, envisioning a focus on programs designed to train and educate students in critical thinking, with an eye toward graduates who can be agents of workplace change. Dr. Keith plans to open the campus to the surrounding community, creating a “culture of possibility” that invites innovators in Delaware to use the College and its resources.  Whether it is a community center collaborating with the Lit Club to publish memories of local senior citizens, or a newly-formed business working with a cohort of DBA students to devise a powerful marketing strategy for their launch, Dr. Keith wants Goldey-Beacom College to be a resource for innovators and entrepreneurs, changing higher education to achieve greater for the community it serves.
