With locations in Wilmington and Greenville, La Tolteca Mexican Restaurant has been the premier choice for Mexican food in Delaware since 1992 — as proven by their perennial appearance in Delaware Today’s Best of Delaware lists. Maintaining its independence and control within the family since the beginning has allowed La Tolteca to stay involved in the community and grow with their guests. The support of their community allowed them to survive the pandemic, which brought them precariously close to shutting down before their 30th anniversary. Looking forward to the future, director Jose A. Lopez and owners Maria M. Lopez and Natanael Cedillo strive to continue contributing to organizations that empower Latinos, combating hunger and uplifting the surrounding communities.
