The Face of Authentic Mexican Cuisine in Delaware

Heidy Cantoran and Hope Lopez opened their first venture, El Azteca Dover, in 2011, followed by locations in Camden in 2014, Rehoboth in 2016 and Middletown in February 2020, right before the pandemic. They believe the secret to their success has been treating customers like family, not business transactions. To keep evolving, they ventured into the American-style restaurant 1857 Jackson House in Dover and won Best New Restaurant within months. They also have The Bad Hombre brand, with license deals that will transform it into a multimillion-dollar company in the future. Still, Mexican restaurants will remain in their roots. Heidy and Hope have big plans to keep growing, changing and always offering the best to their customers.
