Nearly 2,000 people enjoyed the best food, shopping, cocktails and music that Delaware has to offer at the 27th annual Best of Delaware Party, held July 30, 2015. Aisles bursting with award-winning fare from nearly 100 of the area’s top restaurants, boutiques, salons and other businesses filled the Chase Center on the Riverfront. Guests danced the night away to award-winning party band, Jellyroll, and rubbed elbows with local celebs. We always look forward to partying with the best. Next year, we hope that includes you!
Jellyroll has kept the party going year after year with its infectious grooves. The 2015 event also featured stellar performances by Steve Silicato, Kona Shame, The Old Crispy Minstrels and Garry Cogdell.
From cupcakes to crab cakes and all sorts of swag in between, guests had their pick of endless tastes, samples and gifts from award-winning local businesses. Second helpings, of course, are always encouraged.
Delaware Today was honored to partner with two local charities this year. The 2015 beneficiaries included Big Brothers Big Sisters of Delaware and Delaware Guidance Services for Children and Youth, Inc.
The Best of Delaware Party would not have been possible without the generous support of sponsors like The Town of White Hall, Delaware State University, Waste Masters and a variety of other local and statewide businesses.
There was no reason to leave empty-handed at this party! The silent auction was stocked with fabulous goods, services and other treasures. Proceeds were split between our two beneficiaries, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Delaware and Delaware Guidance Services for Children and Youth, Inc.
VIP & After Party
The party started early for a limited number of VIP guests who filled the Chase Center an hour before the party’s official start. The VIP guests avoided the crowds and the lines to get first dibs on all of the BEST food, drinks and products at the party!
