Join us at the Delaware Art Museum on Nov. 14 as we reveal the contest winners.

Family tradition

Storage was a key need in this Wilmington twin. Timeless Designs by Kate Fitzgerald-Wilks designed custom built-ins on the back wall of the family room. On the right of the glass doors, the large television is housed in custom built-in cabinets that offer both open and closed storage. On the left, a home office gets a matching built-in that contains file drawers and bookcases. Custom radiator covers with storage boxes for the living room meld with the traditional fireplace.

Sense and sensibility

This house by Evergreene Homes embodies traditional architecture with modern materials and products in a classic aesthetic that provides comfortable living. The front elevation showcases traditional shake siding below a classic gable. The symmetrical design, along with graceful proportions and stately white columns, complete the exterior. Inside, French doors, with transoms and Craftsman trim, create a seamless transition of past styles with present sensibilities.
