Alesi Custom Builders & Renovators, Inc. designed this Bethany Beach kitchen. The open-concept connects the cooking space to the dining area and living space with a large island for entertaining. On sunny days, an exterior door connects this kitchen to an outside kitchen.

Gayle Wright of Bath Kitchen and Tile Center helped a client create the kitchen of their dreams from a photo. She chose stunning Taj Mahal Quartzite countertops and paired them with a Calacutta Ora tile backsplash.

Classic kitchen

Double vision

Cheryl Umbles Interior Design took the existing kitchen in this historic Bancroft home from its casual, eclectic style and transitioned it to a timeless, fully functional space for a busy young family. The space was gutted from floor to ceiling, making way for a stunning seven-foot island, an adjoining baker’s cabinet and perimeter cabinets with two of every appliance, all capped in a translucent quartzite.

Bright white

Kate FitzGerald-Wilks by Timeless Design renovated this kitchen, which features an eye-catching backsplash of mother-of-pearl mosaic tiles and white glazed hand-thrown subway tiles. The white beadboard-front shaker cabinets, marble-like quartz countertop and chrome cabinet pulls give a bright and modern feel, which is accentuated by the white and chrome low back leather stools, and chrome pendants.

Light blue hue

Megan Gorelick Interiors, Inc. created a dreamy kitchen for her client with the help of light blue paint, Currey and Company lighting and barstools from Sunpan.

Functional flow

Kate FitzGerald-Wilks by Timeless Design reimagined this dated kitchen and rarely used dining room into a substantial, fully customized kitchen with a large island for entertaining and food preparation. Function was accomplished by reconfiguring the floorplan—the wall between the kitchen and dining room was removed and the orientation of the spaces was flipped to create a more open concept, which improved overall flow. Waterbury Kitchen and Bath and Marra Homes designed this clean and pristine kitchen, complete with custom inset cabinetry, white painted finish with quartz counter tops and polished nickel fixtures.
