The Rocks host the Lynchburg Hillcats, but that’s just one of the evening’s attractions. The ever-popular Cowboy Monkey Rodeo is a ridin’ into town to conduct a little monkey business. And be sure to stick around after the game for a spectacular fireworks show.

2. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SMYRNA

Friday, June 29  Smyrna at Night

Smyrna at Night is back and ready to kick off a weeklong celebration of Smyrna’s 250th anniversary. The free event features live music on multiple stages and venues, restaurant specials, a food truck row, craft vendors and more. Performers will include a mix of local and regional acts playing everything from pop to the blues.

3. A CELEBRATION OF CULTURE

Saturday, June 30  IndiaFest 2018

IndiaFest 2018 is an annual family event celebrating South Asian Indian heritage, culture, food, dance and shopping. Sponsored by the Indo American Association of Delaware, the event takes place at the Bob Carpenter Sports Center. Admission is $5.

4. STEAMIN’ SUNDAY

Sunday, July 1  Steamin’ Days at Auburn Heights

The first Sunday of the month means it’s time for Steamin’ Days at Auburn Heights Preserve. Climb into an antique car, board the Auburn Valley Railroad and tour the 1897 mansion. This month’s theme is “Map It Out:” learn all about the maps, navigation and road trips of the past through activities and a scavenger hunt. Admission options vary.

Sunday, July 1  Rehoboth Beach Fireworks

More than 80,000 people will gather on the boardwalk and beach for this show. Be sure to catch The Funsters, who will play the Bandstand before and after the fireworks.
