As chief legal counsel for Dillon Gage, one of the largest global wholesalers of precious metals (gold, silver, platinum and palladium products), it’s no wonder that Alisa Moen is a creature of habit.
“I have my coffee and read the paper every morning—typically by 5:30 a.m.—before the craziness of the day,” she says. “I have four boys, so the time before they get up is prime time to read and get mentally ready for the day.” Her family immigrated to the United States in 1992 from Latvia and moved to Delaware in 1993. Her first job was at the Dunkin’ Donuts on Concord Pike (“I could walk there from the house my parents rented near Fairfax”).
Even though she typically falls asleep while reading or making to-do lists, she wouldn’t want to be doing anything else. “I love what I do. I love solving problems and helping people.”
