“A Certain Age,” released June 28, takes place in the mid-1920s during the infamous Jazz Age, where we are introduced to our protagonist, Theresa Marshall, a wealthy New York socialite. Trapped in a loveless marriage to an unfaithful husband, Theresa finds adventure and love in a handsome war veteran named Octavian.
Theresa becomes instantly smitten with Octavian, who offers her a long-overdue breath of fresh air. Just when things seem like they can’t get any better, Theresa’s life becomes more complicated.
When her brother proposes to Sophie, the seemingly innocent and ingenuous daughter of a mysteriously rich inventor, Theresa has Octavian investigate the potential skeletons in their closet. But the further that Octavian digs, the stronger the attraction between him and Sophie becomes.
The novel concludes with a tenacious trial and a dastardly attempt at revenge that will leave the reader breathless.
“A Certain Age” will excite readers of all ages from beginning to end.
