These Award-Winning Broadway Shows Are Coming to Wilmington

If you’ve been eagerly awaiting the list of Broadway shows coming to Wilmington this year, you’re in luck! The Playhouse on Rodney Square announced the 2024/25 Broadway in Wilmington season. Theater enthusiasts are sure to love the list of titles packed with award-winning Broadway hits.

Featuring shows like HADESTOWN, Dear Evan Hansen, Tina and Mean Girls, the season promises something for everyone. Whether you’re into mythological intrigue, coming-of-age tear-jerkers, jukebox musicals or shows filled with great laughs, Broadway in Wilmington is bound to deliver this year.

“We are truly bringing the best of Broadway to the Playhouse on Rodney Square with our spectacular 2024/25 season line-up,” says Skip Pennella, executive director of The Grand. “This is one of the most exciting Broadway in Wilmington series in years, featuring the wildly popular hits HADESTOWN, Dear Evan Hansen and Tina – The Tina Turner Musical, along with fan-favorites Mean Girls and The Cher Show, all making their Playhouse debuts.”

Critics and audiences alike echo the “best of Broadway” sentiment. These shows have won a collective 17 Tony Awards and two Grammy Awards. Each title has generated plenty of buzz in the theater community with catchy soundtracks and entertaining plots.

All performances will take place in the newly remodeled and enhanced Playhouse on Rodney Square, attached to the historic Hotel DuPont. After the show, visit Le Cavalier, a 2023 Best of Delaware winner with inventive French-inspired dishes located in the hotel.
