During the month of June, The Woodlands of Dover transforms into the site of the East Coast’s largest music and camping extravaganza: Firefly Music Festival.
Hundreds of thousands flock to the area for a weekend of live performances from top artists, distinct food and drink and an onsite camping experience. Concertgoers have eagerly been awaiting the release of 2019’s lineup, which was finally announced this week.
Headliners for the festival—which will take place June 21-23—include rock band Panic! At The Disco and rappers Travis Scott and Post Malone. Other notable artists include DJs Zedd, Kygo and DJ Snake; rock bands Vampire Weekend and Death Cab for Cutie; and rappers Tyler, The Creator and Gucci Mane. Headliners in the past have included Paul McCartney, Bob Dylan, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, Arctic Monkeys and The Killers.
The 2019 Firefly Festival will run for three days rather than four days like in years past. The schedule of performances has not yet been announced.
Reactions to the lineup on social media were mixed. Some feel the festival is geared toward millennials, while others are looking forward to it.
Oh boy. Another horrible lineup geared solely to the millennials. Guess I get to save hundreds of dollars again.

Not only do you decrease the number of days of the festival but you leave us with THE WORST lineup in recent memory. I’ve gone a few years in a row but it looks like we’ll be attending @Bonnaroo this year. Disappointing Firefly.

@realtimshadyy Lots of good indie and EDM acts on this lineup.

Kinda disappointed in this years lineup. Happy to see Panic and X Ambassadors and Death Cab but not much of anything else. No tickets this year for my clan. Hopefully tickets will still sell good.
