Mona Lisa's Smile

See “Who Stole the Mona Lisa?” for free on Saturday, May 7 at The Tatnall School’s Laird Performing Arts Center.

Immerse yourself in a mystery about the most famous painting in the world as the Delaware Chamber Music Festival presents an animated feature “Who Stole the Mona Lisa?” on Saturday, May 7 at The Tatnall School’s Laird Performing Arts Center in Wilmington. Through live musicians and a narrator, experience a whimsical and imaginative animated film providing a delightful, multi-media, classical music performance experience for audiences of all ages.

“Who Stole the Mona Lisa?” uses Igor Stravinsky’s colorful score Suite from The Firebird. In this fantastical story, based on the actual theft of the Mona Lisa from The Louvre Museum in Paris, the Firebird herself is involved in the theft, and leads police on a wacky chase through Paris and the Paris Air Show of 1911. See special appearances by Pablo Picasso, Leonardo da Vinci and the poet Apollinaire. Admission is free and open to the public.
