Winter at Longwood

The cold months bring a fresh perspective to the world-renowned gardens.

Photographer Carlos Alejandro of Hockessin spent more than a year traipsing around the new Meadow Garden at Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, Pa., looking for just the right shots. “I was there at dawn in near-zero temperatures after a snowstorm,” he says of one particular shoot. Here, Alejandro shares a sampling of meadow images from his winter collection.
