Welcome to Delaware Today’s arts blog, the spot to dish on the many cultural opportunities available to Delaware audiences. We’ll cover as many genres as possible, and note great events offered by organizations large and small, in all three counties.
Barbara Eden isn’t popping out of genie bottles anymore, but I bet she can still rock the outfit. The TV legend is coming to Wilmington this weekend to appear as mistress of ceremonies in “Ballroom with a Twist.” The show runs thru January 24.
“Dancing with the Stars” icon Louis van Amstel choreographed the show. And fans, the super hot couples are coming with Barbara. See, in the flesh, Alec Mazo and Edyta Sliwinski and Jonathan Roberts and Anna Trebunskaya.
If “Dancing With the Stars” is your thing, this is your show.

It’s cold. And the Brandywine River Museum has graciously given us a way to laugh about it. The museum opens its exhibit “Laugh Lines: Cartoons and Caricatures from the Collection” this weekend.
This should be a big seller for the museum. All sorts of insider dirt and snarky anecdotal gab accompany the art.
The cartoons of famed Harper’s Bazaar political cartoonist Thomas Nast are featured, as are the works of other important 19th- and 20th-century cartoonists.

Oliver Goldsmith’s comedy follows Marlow, a shy guy around wealthy ladies, but a hound around lowly female servants.
Marlow pays the price for his shortsightedness when an intellectually superior female bamboozles him. Trust me. He learns his lesson.
