It wasn’t until being laid off from a boutique ad agency in 2006 that Damien Golden decided to open her own advertising business. “As the owner of my own company, I get to wear many hats, and it’s a lot of fun refreshing stale brands, lessening stress and adding years of life to my clients’ future because I’ve simplified or taken care of something creatively for them,” she says.

She says she always kisses her husband first thing in the morning and right before bed, but admits to being a chronic multitasker: “Before I fall asleep I try to give my brain a challenge or problem to work on while I sleep.”
