Delaware Art Museum Explores Performing Arts

A journey through 1964-1987 opens personal and social doors.

What is the state of the performing arts? “Retro·active: Performance Art From 1964-1987” at the Delaware Art Museum offers a historical view of performance art since it exploded onto the scene in the mid-1960s as a way to address personal concerns and social issues. It opens June 14. Starting July 12 “Performance Now” will examine the current role of music, dance, theater and more in contemporary art and culture. See both until Sept. 21. (571-9590, delart.org)
