The Delaware Art Museum’s second annual cocktail party, The Art of the Cocktail, lit up the museum on the evening of Saturday, April 20. The Studio 54 theme for this year’s soiree filled the museum with sequins, disco balls, platform shoes and disco tunes.
Here’s a look at the evening’s events in photos.
Party guests arrived in front of the museum and were greeted with a red carpet, vintage cars and a champagne wall.
Drinks were flowing throughout the evening with a selection of beer, wine, seltzers and on-theme cocktails renamed after ’70s musical legends—like a paloma called “Jagger” and a French Blonde renamed the “Cher.”
Toscana Catering provided light bites and desserts for the occasion.
Along with a lively dance floor, there were also plenty of party activities throughout the evening. The evening featured a caricature artist and a silent auction to raise money for the museum’s youth and educational programs.
Silent auction packages included everything from local experiences to dining and shopping gift cards. With a DJ spinning crowd-pleasing disco tracks throughout the evening, party guests were transported through time to a 1970s Studio 54.
Party goers came dressed to impress in their best disco looks, put on their dancing shoes and danced the night away.
Party guests commemorated the evening with professional photo booth photos.
