Biggs Museum of American Art
Take virtual tours of this Dover museum, thanks to its extensive collection of online videos. The narrated segments offer insights into the displayed works. You’ll almost think you’re on a docent-led tour.

Delaware Art Museum
Spanning centuries, the Delaware Art Museum’s collections are partially available to view online. Segmented by category—which includes American illustration, Copeland Sculpture Garden and Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood—visitors can see and learn about the works of art, when they were created and discover more about the artist.

The Delaware Contemporary
In an effort to keep the community connected to the museum’s dynamic exhibition programming of contemporary art and creativity, The Delaware Contemporary is now offering virtual tours on its website. Explore “Malice’s Restaurant” and “Look to the Land” now, and stay tuned for more to come.

Delaware Historical Society
Explore Delaware history through a number of online videos. Topics range from yearbooks of yore to documents and clothing. The society also has an online exhibit dedicated to African American faith in the first state.

The Delaware Museum of Natural history’s online videos explore scientific collections—think fossils, mollusks, eggs and more—with museum curators, and offer behind the scenes looks at some of the museum’s exhibits. Hagley Museum and Library
Archives and collections are plentiful on Hagley’s website, giving visitors a good luck into the past. Explore slides from Alexis du Pont, discover an oral history of brewing or meander state fairs from the last century.

Milford Museum
Milford’s historic past can be explored through over a dozen online exhibits on the Milford Museum’s website. From agriculture and businesses to streets and military, the museum’s collection has tons of history to sift through virtually.

University of Delaware Special Collections & Museums
Four Special Collections and Museums gallery spaces—including Mechanical Hall Gallery, the Mineralogical Museum in Penny Hall, Old College Gallery and the Special Collections Gallery in Morris Library—display rotating exhibitions that are free and open to the public. These exhibitions are available to explore online as well, view the “Beat Visions and the Counterculture” exhibit here.
Winterthur Museum, Library and Garden
Home to nearly 90,000 artifacts, Winterthur contains one of the finest collections of American arts in the world. Visitors don’t need to explore the sprawling mansion and grounds to get a sense for the pieces, though. A digital museum collection offers a number of exhibitions, ranging from needlepoint to furniture to maps.
