St. Patrick’s Day may fall on a Tuesday this year, but there are still plenty of opportunities to wear green and partake in Irish festivities. Below is a list of many shenanigans taking place across the state.
Deer Park Tavern’s St. Patty’s Day Celebration
Celebrate all day at Deer Park Tavern. The restaurant will also offer food deals, a DJ and Irish bagpipers on Tuesday, March 17.

45th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade
Starting at noon, the Irish Culture Club of Delaware will bring its St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Hooley Celebration to Downtown Wilmington. The parade will begin at 4th and King Streets and proceeds up King Street to 15th Street. ICCD’s Hooley will be held at the corner of King & 12th streets following the parade. *UPDATE: The Irish Culture Club of Delaware announced that the parade has been cancelled due to health concerns, according to the organization’s Facebook page.

10th Annual Milford St. Patrick’s Day Pub Crawl
Starting at 6 p.m., the Milford Pub Crawl allows attendees to visit downtown merchants who will have local breweries, wineries, and distilleries in their shops. Then, the crawl will send people to downtown pubs, taverns, bars, and restaurants. The crawl is hosted by Downtown Milford, Inc., a nonprofit supporting small businesses, history, beautification and culture in the city.

Block Party at Sheridan’s Irish Pub & Restaurant
Running from 3 p.m. to Midnight, enjoy a DJ set, live music and adult tricycle races. Plus, of course, food and drink. Sheridan’s is also promoting other St. Patrick’s Day events and specials like the Smyrna parade on March 15 and the restaurant opening at 9 a.m. on March 17 with no cover, and t-shirts to the first 50 guests.

Dover St. Patrick’s Day Parade
Head to Downtown Dover for a day of festivities. Festival Marketplace vendors will be set up from 1-5 p.m. The parade will begin at 3 p.m. It will start at the Legislative Mall area, head west on Loockerman Street and continue on Queen Street until the end at Wesley College’s Johnston Hall.
