The open floor plan and cathedral ceilings create a spacious dining area in this beach house by Marnie Homes. A custom-built bench at the dining table can seat 16.
Kate FitzGerald-Wilks of Timeless Design turned a walkthrough space between the living room and family room of this Highlands twin into a dedicated dining room. FitzGerald-Wilks had a narrow farmhouse table built, then flanked the ends with skirted linen host and hostess chairs. The sides of the table were streamlined with small, X-back bistro chairs to keep the space open and airy. A pair of buffet tables provide storage while framing a large picture window. An airy chandelier, natural accents and blue-green fabrics lend a garden feel to the space.
