With 450,000 individual lights, the holiday display at the plant of Herr’s Foods in Nottingham, Pa., rivals Longwood Gardens—and its lights stay on all night long. A drive through the corporate campus reveals trees wrapped in strings of various colors, a grove of candy canes, gingerbread people and a locally famous nativity scene. Of course, what else would you expect from a maker of chips than a Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head? Still, after 22 holidays, “It’s like our little secret,” says PR manager Jennifer Arrigo. To get there, head west on U.S. 1, to 271 Old Baltimore Pike in Nottingham, then look for the tree known as Big Red near the highway exit. You can marvel at the display until New Year’s Eve. —Mark Nardone
