This weekend, get out on the town with these special events and local happenings across Delaware. Delawareans and visitors alike will enjoy everything from live music and delicious food trucks to family-friendly events and fall festivals.

Thursday, October 14  

Rehoboth Beach Jazz Festival 

Considered the “Greatest Jazz Festival in the World,” the Rehoboth Beach Jazz Festival brings notes of blues, ragtime and swing to the First State. Produced by the Delaware Celebration of Jazz, the event features live performances by Maysa, the 2021 Artist of the Year and Fred Dawson, the 2021 Producer of the Year.

 Friday, October 15 

Halloween Weekend at Massey’s Landing 

Start the weekend off on the right foot with a tasty treat at Massey’s Landing. On Friday night, locals can enjoy a s’mores social with friends, followed by a movie showing at 7 p.m. The event continues Saturday with pumpkin painting, a pumpkin chunkin’ event, the costume carnival and contest and so much more.

Spooky Hayrides at Magee Farms 

This Halloween season, embark on a spooky hayride full of thrills and chills at Magee Farms. From 6-8 p.m., guests can enjoy a hayride followed by delicious treats, food and drinks every Friday and Saturday night throughout October. The spooky hayride is $5 per rider.

Saturday, October 16 

Fall Family Fun Fest  

The Delaware Aerospace Education Foundation is hosting a Fall Family Fun Fest from 12-5 p.m. The day is filled with educational kids’ activities, entertainment about NASA’s Webb Telescope, live music and local food trucks like Mojo Loco, Maiale and Uncle John’s Barbecue. Tickets are $5 per person, and guests can tour the Galaxy Garden.

Family Funfest at Carousel Park 

Free for all ages, the Family Funfest at Carousel Park brings hayrides, local music, a roaring bonfire and more to Wilmington. From 2-6 p.m., kids can meet costumed characters like Woody and Jessie from Toy Story or even participate in a scavenger hunt and trail tales.

Hagley Museum Craft Fair 

Visit the Hagley Museum this weekend for a fall craft fair featuring talented artisans, intricate fine arts, local crafts and gourmet items. Tickets are $5 per person online for adults and $7 for day-of-show tickets.

Sunday, October 17   

Bethany Blues Sunday Jazz Brunch  

Dine at Bethany Blues in Lewes from 10 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. this Sunday and enjoy a live jazz brunch featuring Christy Taylor. Try the delicious signature sandwiches like the Smoked Caprese Chicken paired with a glass of the handmade sangria.
