Head to Milton from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 1 to celebrate Delaware at 302 Day! Each year, Dogfish Head partners with 302 Horseshoe Crab to offer a day full of festivities, local food, great brews, and more.
This is the fourth consecutive year the brewery and lifestyle brand have partnered to throw this Delaware-centric party, which earned the title of “Best Event” in 2022 from Southern Delaware Tourism.

No Dogfish Head party is complete without a great brew or two. Each 302 Day celebration includes the annual release of the iconic Delaware-centric 302 Lager—an American lager brewed with thoughtfully sourced two-row barley malt, heirloom variety corn, and Sauvignon Blanc grape must. It’s the perfect light, refreshing brew to celebrate the First State. Plus, enjoy tasty eats from a lineup of local food trucks, live music and live band karaoke, a horseshoe crab touch tank courtesy of Delaware State Parks, and, of course, plenty of other Dogfish Head brews.
In true Delaware fashion, the day will also include a live auction for two low-digit black surf tags, #2025 and #1001. Proceeds will benefit Delaware State Parks, and the auction begins at 1:30 p.m. sharp.

New 302 Day Festivities in 2025
Each 302 Day gets bigger and better, and this year Dogfish Head welcomes University of Delaware’s YoUDee Blue Hen mascot to the celebration for the first time. The mascot will lead folks in a series of field games from 1-2 p.m. Battle to win prizes in games like “Hula Hoop Off,” “Blue Hen’s Three Legged Hustle,” and more.
“302 Day is a true celebration of all things Delaware—bringing together great people, great beer, and great local businesses to celebrate the state we love. This year, I’m especially excited for the new artwork items Kam Productions will unveiling on 302 Day centered around the coastal beauty of Cape Henlopen State Park,” enthuses Sam Calagione, Dogfish Head’s founder and brewer. “It’s always a joy to gather with the local community that has supported both our brands, share in the festivities, and raise a glass in honor of the First State.”
