It may be hard to believe, but Easter is already around the corner! These Easter events across the First State are sure to kick off your spring the right way.

50th Annual Betty Madara Easter Egg Hunt

Date: April 9

Taking place at Roots Landscaping and Garden Center in Shelbyville, this event includes egg decorating, games, an Easter Bunny “Photo Hop” and more beginning at 12 p.m. The Easter egg hunt begins at 1:30 p.m.

Easter Bunny Express

Dates: April 9, 10, 15, and 16
Departure times: 12:30 & 2:30

Hop aboard this 90-minute round-trip train ride from Wilmington to Ashland accompanied by a special guest: The Easter Bunny! This ride is sure to be a memorable afternoon for the family. Reservations are strongly encouraged and can be made here.

Earth Day Festival and Easter Egg Hunt

Date: April 16

Bring the family out to Sayre Baldwin Farms from 12-5 p.m. for its annual Earth Day Festival. Including vendor shopping, food trucks, live music, an Easter egg hunt and inflatables for the kids, this festival is sure to be fun for the whole family.

2022 Great Delaware Kite Festival 

Date: April 15

The Great Kite Festival in Cape Henlopen State Park offers a full day of spring fun! Registration begins at 10 a.m., the egg hunt begins at 11a.m., and the kite-flying competition takes place at 11:30 a.m. Food vendors, a visit from the Easter Bunny, and a day in beautiful Cape Henlopen State Park sounds like a perfect way to kick off Easter weekend.

Auburn Heights Egg Hunt

Dates: April 15 and 16

This Easter event at Auburn Heights in Yorklyn is another option for the whole family. Tickets are $10 each, and there are many activities to enjoy. Tickets include train rides on the Auburn Valley Railroad, themed crafts for kids, fresh steam-popped popcorn, a meet and greet with the Easter Bunny, and more. Gates open at 12 p.m., and tickets can be purchased here.

Egg Fest

Date: April 16

Delaware’s Egg Fest in New Castle Battery Park begins at 1 p.m. Bring the family out for an Easter egg hunt, food, music, raffles and giveaways. Admission is free for what is sure to be a fun afternoon.
