10 Ways to Celebrate Easter in Delaware This Year

Easter is coming early this year! The days leading up to March 31 are filled with fun ways to welcome the spring. Take the kids to an Easter egg hunt, enjoy an Easter brunch or check out a 21+ Easter egg hunt at a winery.

There are plenty of ways to celebrate Easter in Delaware. Here are 10 events to check out.

1. Easter Egg Hunt at White Clay Creek State Park

Starting at 10 a.m., Newark’s annual Easter egg hunt is on! Head to White Clay Creek State Park with the kids for a morning filled with Easter fun. Children under five start at 10 a.m., and children ages five to nine start at 10:30 a.m.

2. Easter Bunny Express

Dates: March 23-24, 29-30
Departure times: 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.

Hop aboard this 90-minute round-trip train ride from Wilmington to Ashland accompanied by a special guest: The Easter Bunny! This ride is sure to be a memorable afternoon for the family. Reservations are required and can be made here.

3. Get Hopped up at Schellville

Date: March 23

Head over to Schellville for a fun Easter brewery event. For some 21+ Easter fun, get hopped up at Schellville! The event features live music, artisan vendors, food and plenty of local brews. The fun kicks off at 5 p.m., and tickets are $40. Free designated driver tickets are also available.

4. Easter Bunny Brunch at Hamilton’s on Main

Date: March 23

From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., enjoy a family-friendly Easter Bunny Brunch at Hamilton’s on Main. Adult tickets are $40 and include an entree and one brunch cocktail. Kids’ tickets are $20 and include food and a photo op with the Easter Bunny.

5. Dover’s Annual Egg Hunt 

Date: March 23

This year’s Easter egg hunt in Dover will be at the Schutte Park Softball Complex beginning at noon. Children 10 and under are welcome to come hunt for eggs and goodies.

6. Adult Easter Egg Hunt at Harvest Ridge Winery

Date: March 24

Go hunting for eggs at Harvest Ridge Winery. Enjoy fun Easter treats and delicious wine at Harvest Ridge in Marydel. The event starts at 1 p.m., and tickets are $20.

7. Sweet Treats With the Easter Bunny at Schellville

Dates: March 24

Schellville is adding a new seasonal event to its calendar this year. Enjoy a hopping good time at Sweet Treats with the Easter Bunny. Bring the kids for an afternoon filled with festive fun and delicious treats. Plus, enjoy a visit and plenty of photos with the Easter Bunny. Tickets are $30.

8. Breakfast With the Easter Bunny at Chick-fil-A Christiana

Date: March 30

Starting at 9 a.m., take the kids to grab a Chick-fil-A breakfast and get photos with the Easter Bunny and the Chick-fil-A cow. Kids 12 and under will leave with a special Easter treat.

9. Breakfast With the Easter Bunny at Crooked Hammock in Lewes

Date: March 30

Starting at 9 a.m., enjoy a full breakfast buffet at Crooked Hammock, along with a visit from the Easter Bunny. The buffet costs $22 for adults and $11 for children under 12. Enjoy eggs, pancakes, breakfast meats, home fries, freshly baked pastries and more. Reserve online.

10. Peter Rabbit Meet & Greet at Brittingham Farms in Millsboro

Date: March 31

The New Castle Hundred Lions will once again hold the annual Easter Parade on Easter Sunday. Bring the kids out to enjoy candy, fun and prizes. The fun starts at 1 p.m. on The Green.
