Santa Brunch – Hamilton’s on Main

December 2-3, 10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Kick off the holiday season with this family-friendly brunch event. Hamilton’s on Main is known for a great brunch, and a visit from Santa makes it all the merrier. Adult tickets are $40 and include a meal from a special brunch menu, plus a complimentary mimosa, Bellini or bloody Mary. Kids’ tickets are $20 and include a child-friendly menu, access to holiday activities and a photo with Santa Claus.

Millville’s Yuletide Celebration

December 2, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.

The town of Millville’s Yuletide Festival provides a full day of holiday fun. The day kicks off at 10 a.m. with a holiday craft show in the Community Center. Outdoor activities, starting at 3 p.m., include a Christmas tree lighting, s’mores making, hot chocolate sipping, live music, food and, of course, a visit from Santa. Stick around for the annual tree lighting at the end of the evening.

Santa at the Zoo

December 2-3, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Take the kids to meet Santa, share their wishes and get photos during this Brandywine Zoo winter tradition. Photos will take place in the Lemur Pavilion, which is outside but covered and heated. Enjoy coffee, educational tables, vendors and holiday fun at the zoo. Tickets should be purchased in advance and are $8 for non-members, while kids under three get in free.

Santa’s House on the Boardwalk 

Various dates and times

In Southern Delaware, families can visit the jolly old man at his iconic Boardwalk house in Rehoboth. Santa’s house is open for visitors at select times on weekends throughout the season. Find a full list of dates and times here.

This annual holiday village is a great place to meet Santa and Mrs. Claus. Mom and Dad can enjoy libations from the beer garden, Dewey Beer Co. and Dogfish Head. Holiday activities include skating, treehouses, nightly bands, a maze of lights, shopping at Candy Cane Artisan Lane, the Schellville Express and more. Walk-ups are welcome, but registering online guarantees entry.

Santa Claus Express

Weekends, 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. departures

The Wilmington & Western Railroad presents its annual Santa Claus Express. Why wait in line to meet Santa when you can hop aboard a train and have him come to you? This is a great annual event that many Delaware families look forward to each year.

December 2, 9 & 16, 12-4 p.m.

Holidays at Fifer’s are better with Santa! Tickets include an opportunity to get photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus, an apple cider donut and access to additional activities like face painting, The Little Farm, hot cocoa and apple cider.

Scout Cafe Holiday Market

December 3, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

This open-air holiday market will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Scout Cafe’s back garden. This is a one-stop shop to kick off the holidays! With delicious food, warm drinks, shopping from local artisans and a visit from Father Christmas himself, Scout’s holiday market is a perfect event for the whole family.

Dagsboro Christmas Parade

December 12, 7-9 p.m.

Check out the 10th annual Dagsboro Christmas Parade. Enjoy floats, marching units, fire trucks and a visit from Santa. The parade begins at the entrance to Indian River High School on Main Street and comes into town, turning left on Clayton Street and ending at the Fire Hall.
