As the leader and founder of ThruPore Technologies, Franchessa Sayler also wears another hat: She’s an inventor, specifically in custom catalyst manufacturing.
“I started ThruPore because I wanted to get a new technology into the marketplace,” she says. “Demonstrating that something I created does in fact work on a large scale and customers are willing to pay for it has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.”
Before creating ThruPore, Sayler spent many years in school, eventually earning her Ph.D., all while working her way through college as a bank teller. A lot has changed since the early days of her career. “I definitely believe the workplace has gotten better for women although I feel like we still have some progress that needs to made in order to attain true equality,” she says.
