The Rehoboth Beach Writers’ Guild is offering a “Writing and Humor” workshop in Rehoboth Beach February 12. Funny lady Fay Jacobs will lead this two-part class (four hours total).
Don’t laugh. Writing humor is serious business. Jacobs, an award-winning author of three books, writes what she knows. And what she knows about living in Rehoboth Beach is pretty funny.
Jacobs’ offerings include “As I Lay Frying,” “Fried & True” and her most recent, “For Frying Out Loud.”
Jacobs’ also is known for her monthly column in Delaware Beach Life. But downstaters are forever thankful for the work she did in her former role as executive director of the Rehoboth Beach Main Street. Jacobs is a full-time writer now.
The goal of Jacobs’ workshop will be to help writers turn ordinary experiences and anecdotes into compelling, humorous and publishable essays—kind of like she does.
