Delaware Center for the Contemporary Arts

The DCCA is almost always featuring new exhibits, and most run at least a month. In case you haven’t heard, DCCA’s parking lot is open for business. No need to wander aimlessly through construction sites. The museum is steps away from Riverfront attractions, so make a day of it.

There is lots to see here, including spectacular gardens. But the current exhibit featuring the photography of Kathleen Buckalew, which runs all month, is not to be missed. Buckalew’s work is sharp and soulful.
Delaware Division of the Arts

You may not know that this unremarkable government building offers monthly exhibits. Head to the mezz to check them out.

Newark Arts Alliance

The concept behind the alliance is to showcase area artists while offering instruction to adults and children. Check throughout the year for interesting events.

Peninsula Gallery

Peninsula offers a main gallery, which shows the work of about 30 artists on a full-time basis. But in its exhibition gallery, exhibits change monthly, and generally showcase about 40 works at a time.
