The spooky season is right around the corner, and you can kick things off in Wilmington this week with a four-part immersive cocktail experience! The Haunted Tavern: A Dark Pop-Up Cocktail Experience is coming to The Queen from Wednesday, September 18 through Friday, September 20.
The Haunted Tavern invites guests to enjoy drinks and a show as “tavern keepers” guide visitors through a spine-chilling, four-part cocktail journey. Venture into The Queen for an interactive experience curated with the help of expert ghost historians. As you sip your way through an impressive cocktail lineup, hear local ghost stories from Wilmington’s paranormal past.
The Haunted Tavern Pop-Up offers a chance to hear chilling supernatural tales that haunt the venue and the streets of Wilmington to this very day. But beware of the restless spirit that never left! The night is sure to come with plenty of eerie surprises, as the resident ghost often joins the festivities, delighting in scaring guests as they sip on liquid courage.

Haunted Tavern Cocktails
The cocktail list offers a variety of flavors including a tart poison appletini, a tropical pineapple-based concoction topped with a rum-soaked cherry, a botanical cucumber-infused vodka lemonade and the Haunted Tavern Pop-Up’s signature cocktail, the Tavern Martini. The Tavern Martini is an ideal dessert cocktail, made up of various chocolate liqueurs shaken with cocoa and cream.
The experience is one hour and 30 minutes long and, with plenty of great restaurants surrounding the Market Street venue (Bardea/Bardea Steak, The Quoin, Farmer and the Cow and more), it’s an ideal spooky season date night!
Tickets
The show takes place at different times on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evenings. Friday’s tickets are going fast, with Wednesday and Thursday sure to follow suit. Prices range from $48-$62 depending on showtime. Get your tickets online before they sell out!
