Wilmington has historically been a hot spot for Halloween festivities and parties for the 21 and over crowd. Although the iconic Halloween Loop bar crawl will not happen this year, several area bars and restaurants are carrying on the fun with their own celebrations. Here are a few can’t-miss festive events to keep in mind this Halloween.
Trolloween 2019
This Halloween party is hosted by two beloved Wilmington bars: Catherine Rooney’s and Trolley Tap House. Trolloween 2019 is held on Oct. 25 and is located on 1616 Delaware Avenue in Wilmington. It will feature music from M80, a retro party band. Also, there will be additional rooms of entertainment at this event featuring DJ J Ski and Costume Karaoke. There is a $5 cover charge and a costume contest that features plenty of prizes.
Halloween Trivia at Kelly’s Logan House
Kelly’s Logan House is hosting a Halloween trivia session at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26. There will be trivia prizes, plus prizes for best costume and best group or team costume. Trivia specials include $3 PBR and Natty Boh 16-ounce cans, $3 Yuengling drafts, $6 New Amsterdam flavored doubles and $7 nachos.
Trolloween on the Square
On Oct. 31, multiple bar/restaurants will be offering entertainment. Kelly’s Logan House will have Barely Rarely Band and a DJ playing. Catherine Rooney’s will have Cherry Crush Band and Trolley Tap House will offer free foosball all night.
Out & About Magazine’s 40th Anniversary Halloween Loop Costume Ball
Out & About Magazine is hosting a Halloween Loop Costume Ball to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Halloween Loop on Oct. 26 at 7:30 p.m. Located at 500 N. Market St. in downtown Wilmington, this ball will be a hot spot during Halloweekend. The Halloween Loop Costume Ball will feature four bands that has helped shape this city’s music scene: The Caulfields, Montana Wildaxe, The Numbers and The Snap.
C.R. Hummingbird to Mars
This bar located at 1616 Delaware Ave. is having a Halloween event on Oct. 31 and features a night of blues music and bourbon. Live blues music will be held from 8-11 p.m. with Jonny Never & John Colgan Davis. They will be playing vintage blues and jazz. The best part of this event is all bourbons will be at 20 percent off all night.
Oddity Bar
Oddity Bar is hosting the Hellbilly Halloween Party with The Bullets on Halloween night, Oct. 31. This event is held at 500 Greenhill Ave., and runs from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. There is a $5 cover charge and is only for adults 21 and over. Also, there will be a Ghoulish Gal Pinup Contest with prizes and drink specials to purchase throughout the night.
