This is one classy partnership.
The Delaware Art Museum and the Hotel du Pont have come up with a good idea called “Fine Art & High Tea.” It’s something nice to do during the holidays, and beyond. (Way beyond. It extends through September 3, 2011.)
You can visit the museum to enjoy its 19th-century British Pre-Raphaelite collection and Howard Pyle illustrations, among other exhibits. Lunch at the museum follows, then a tour and tea at the Hotel du Pont.
The cost for a tour of the Delaware Art Museum and boxed lunch is $23 per person. The cost for the Hotel du Pont tour and tea is $21.
You won’t find a better high tea service. Go ahead. You’re worth it.
And if you’re still searching for gifts, remember that the arts are always in season. Treat someone to the theater, a museum, the ballet, or a concert.
Wishing you a very happy and healthy holiday season.
