Jo Schmeiser describes her job as executive director of the Chamber of Commerce for Greater Milford as an “event planner, salesperson, customer service representative, marketing director, friend, psychiatrist and often mentor.”
She previously worked as the marketing director for i.g. Burton and served on the chamber board and executive board of directors as vice president. She was raised a self-described Air Force brat, and her father served more than 26 years while her mom stayed at home to raise her and her three siblings.
Her team at the chamber consists of one other employee, who she has known since she was 14. “I was her big sister with Big Brothers Big Sisters, so we do things together outside of work, including plans to see Fleetwood Mac together next March.”
