Milton is a charming Delaware town at the head of the Broadkill River. It’s home to a historic theater, riverside park, downtown shopping and, perhaps most notably, Dogfish Head Brewery’s production facility and tasting room. The headquarters of Dogfish Head bring in plenty of tourism, but there’s even more to enjoy in this Delaware town.

Here’s how to spend a full 24-hour day in Milton.

8:30 a.m. – Start your day with breakfast and coffee at Zava Cafe

Zava Cafe is a must for healthy breakfast and lunch options that also taste great. The banana flambe pancakes are gluten-free and topped with wild berries, caramelized bananas and powdered sugar. 2 p.m. – Take the Off-Centered Tour to learn about brewing

4 p.m. – Indulge in a sweet treat and stroll through the park

King’s Homemade Ice Cream Shop has been around since 1972 and operates out of the oldest commercial building in Sussex County. It’s safe to assume the roadside shop has perfected the recipe for the perfect scoop. Stroll through Milton Memorial Park and enjoy riverside views.

7:30 p.m. – Catch a show at the Milton Theatre
