If you haven’t decided where to see the next James Bond movie, let us help: Go to the new multiplex on the Wilmington Riverfront, where “Skyfall” opens Nov. 9. The 3,200-seat, 14-theater facility features the fastest projection equipment in the industry and, coolest of all, a 430-seat IMAX theater with plush leather seats and a four-story movie screen. For more than 30 years, city moviegoers have had to leave town to see first-run films. No more. And movies are just the start. The theater will also broadcast sporting events, concerts and other performances. The new Penn Cinema Riverfront is expected to draw about 700,000 visitors a year, says Chris Buccini of Buccini/Pollin Group, which is building the complex. “With the ballpark, great restaurants and the Delaware Children’s Museum, the riverfront is already an entertainment destination,” Buccini says. “This just takes it to a whole new level.”—Mark Nardone
