As we wrap up the month of July, we are heading into peach season. This time of year is peak harvesting season for peaches—a highlight of summers in Delaware.
Sweet, juicy and healthy, peaches can be used for a variety of purposes. On a hot summer day, nothing beats biting right into a juicy local peach. They’re also good for pie, ice cream, cobbler, salsa and beverages. The best time to harvest in the state of Delaware is during the first week of August, though late July can be just as plentiful. These farms and orchards are great places to pick your peaches.
Bennett Orchards

Bennett Orchards grows 16 different varieties of peaches including Sentry, Redhaven, Loring, Selena and Encore peaches, which are in season through late August.
