Head to Ponders Tract near the Redden State Forest in Sussex County to see a newly restored, critical habitat for migrating birds, deer, amphibians, snakes, and a variety of dragonflies, damselflies and butterflies. The Nature Conservancy has turned 240 acres of loblolly pine plantation into a native coastal forest of hardwoods, and it has converted old logging roads into nine miles of public-use trails. You can also download an audio tour map to your MP3 device. (nature.org)
