June is Pride Month, and there’s plenty to do around Delaware to support and celebrate the LGBTQ+ community.

Saturday, June 4: Pride Month Kickoff Across the State

Delaware Pride Festival

We’re kicking off the month of June by celebrating 25 years of Delaware Pride! The annual festival is set for this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Legislative Hall in Dover. The event is free, family-friendly and open to the public. All ages, genders and orientations are welcome to support and celebrate the LGBTQ+ community in Delaware. The day will be full of drag performances and other entertainment, food trucks, local vendors, a parade and fun for the whole family.

PRIDE Kids & Youth Cabaret

Part of Milton Pride 2022, the Kids & Youth Cabaret is a venue for kids to sing, read, play, perform or simply enjoy the show. The show will feature some of the region’s best young talents and is open to any LGBTQ+ and Ally kids ages 10 and above. The event begins at 2 p.m., and tickets can be purchased here.

Docklands Diva’s Pride Drag Brunch

Join Docklands Riverfront for its Pride Month kickoff. This drag brunch will include performances from Amerie Jameson, Elektra Manchez, Victoria Blair, Morgan and Poochie. Tickets are $40 and include brunch and a show. The event will take place outside if the weather permits it, and will run from noon to 4 p.m. The organization expects the event to sell out, so get your tickets now by visiting the website online here.

Other Events Throughout the Month

Milton PRIDE Pre-Party & Art Show
Wednesday, June 8

The Milton Theatre and Inn the Doghouse put on an exclusive Pride Pre-Party on Wednesday, June 8. Curated vendors will bring exclusive Pride-themed art. The Inn and Doghouse Tiki Bar will feature specialty on-theme handcrafted cocktails for the evening. Feel free to come dressed in your favorite tiki attire for the full experience.

Middletown’s 2nd Annual Pride Walk and Festival
Saturday, June 11

Middletown community members are ready to join the big cities with their own annual festival. After a successful walk last year, there are now vendors and other fun elements to turn this “pride walk” into a full-scale shindig.

Our Night Out Wilmington
Thursday, June 16

Our Night Out is an LGBTQ+ Wilmington social group that meets meets monthly. For June, the LGBTQ happy hour will be held at Constitution Yards. Grab your friends, put on your most colorful outfits, have some drinks and enjoy time with this lively Wilmington group. They’ll be there from 6-9 p.m. Joining the event is free. Just pay for your food and drinks!

Pride Day at the Brandywine Zoo
Saturday, June 25

It’s Pride Day with the animals! Wear all your rainbow gear to the zoo for a fun day of education, a scavenger hunt, crafts and more. The zoo is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and admission for adults is $5.
