The Rehoboth Beach Film Society’s 23rd annual event, happening Nov. 5-15, will offer festival goers the chance to watch films at home or in person amid the coronavirus pandemic.

At least one iconic Delaware event isn’t closing the curtain in 2020, the Rehoboth Beach Independent Film Festival returns Nov. 5-15 to the coast—and your living room.

Amid the coronavirus pandemic, the Rehoboth Film Society’s board of directors is offering a hybrid approach to their 23rd annual event. Patrons can choose to watch films in person at the Cinema Art Theater in Lewes with reduced occupancy and a socially-distant seating plan, or from their own homes.

This year’s film lineup includes a variety of features and documentaries, both international and American, with one theme in common: positivity. There are 11 virtual and five in-person films to choose from, visit rehobothfilm.com for descriptions and trailers for each film.

Festival passes are not being used this year, so all films and screenings are available to everyone at once, rather than being released to pass holders in stages as in past years. Tickets for in-person screenings and for virtual showings can be found on the film society’s website.
