When talking about each other, the two sisters and co-owners of the Milford bakery and cafe have nothing but nice words. “Angie is determined, passionate and very detail oriented,” Rous says. Angie adds, “Rous is very positive, joyful, driven, a great listener and she has the strongest faith in God.”
All of these characteristics have combined to create their successful shop serving Puerto Rican-inspired bread, sandwiches, empanadas, pastries and more. Rous does the baking and Angie is the cook. Together, they always look out for each other. The sisters would love to see more women working in construction. “I built my own house through Milford Housing Inc., and it was very fun and interesting. I admire the very few women I met on the construction field. We should never underestimate ourselves,” says Rous.
