When you think of Winterthur in May, Point-to-Point most likely comes to mind. But there’s another great reason to visit the museum this month: classic car shows. From 10 a.m. till 4 p.m. on Saturdays this month, weather permitting, 10 to 12 vintage automobiles will be displayed on the hillside near the Port Royal entrance. These are not hot rods. They’re extraordinary and sometimes rare autos that were part of life in the day of the estate. Displays, created around various eras of auto history, change weekly to show you Winterthur in new ways. (By the way, Point-to-Point is May 5.)
