And thus ends the 75th season of Chapel Street Players.
Neil Simon’s “California Suite” marks the finale of the troupe’s ambitious anniversary season. The comedy runs thru May 1, and it’s worth seeing.
Directed by Scott F. Mason and Brian M. Touchette, the play is set at the Beverly Hills Hotel at various times of the year. The story follows five couples who book the suite—not at the same time, of course.

Music Highlights
The Delaware Symphony Orchestra presents Classical Series: “Life, Death and Mack the Knife” April 16-17. Conducted by David Amado, the concert features lyric soprano Janice Chandler Eteme. Singers like Eteme are blessed with warm, rich voices that typically soar over an orchestra. (Basically the definition of a lyric soprano, but Eteme is the kind of singer who stands out.)
Here’s an opportunity to hear an acclaimed vocalist backed by the DSO. As evidenced by its title, this performance offers Broadway selections as well as works by Mozart, Weill and Gorecki.
