Sheryl Crow in Wilmington? The Grammy winner wrote the music and lyrics for “Diner,” the stage version of the 1982 movie, which is playing at Delaware Theatre Company Dec. 2-27.

She is staying in the area for rehearsal and part of the run. Hoping for a sighting? Based on what we know about the 53-year-old mother of two, here are some places to look.

Fun Stops: Crow and sons Wyatt, 8 and Levi, 5, enjoy Cheekwood Botanical Garden and Museum of Art at home in Nashville, so you may spot her at Winterthur Museum, Garden & Library, taking in the sights of its famous Yuletide exhibit. The trio may also visit Longwood Gardens for A Longwood Christmas. Closer to DTC, right on the riverfront, is the Delaware Children’s Museum. Boys will be boys.

Fitness: Crow is a fan of sports-related fitness, making CrossFit Riverfront high on the list for possible sightings. You might also spot her running or hiking at one of our beautiful state parks. For the boys, nearby Stratosphere Trampoline Park rates. If she needs to get out of town, she can keep her amazing arms in shape at Delaware Rock Gym.

Dining: Crow is an advocate for healthy eating, so look for her at Drop Squad Kitchen inside Molly’s Old Fashioned Ice Cream Shop in the Riverfront Shops, which specializes in healthy organic meals. Janssen’s Market in Greenville can supply all the organic snacks and produce she needs. Search for and her kids sampling award-winning gourmet salads, homemade soups, fresh seafood and steaks at Home Grown Café in Newark.

Shopping: Crow likes tailored separates sprinkled with a dash of country and rock ’n’ roll, so she could do some one-stop-shopping in Greenville (our own Rodeo Drive). Ellie Boutique carries all the latest from top designers from Citizen of Humanity to Trina Turk. At nearby Peter Kate, Crow can stock up on funky accessories, fringe handbags, motorcycle boots and jewelry from Wilmington’s own Olga Ganoudis.
