Tabatha L. Castro

President and managing attorney of The Castro Firm Inc.

For Tabatha L. Castro, seeing Sonia Sotomayor, a Puerto Rican from New York City just like her, rise to the Supreme Court was monumental. As a young attorney, Castro wanted to take on cases that mattered and to fiercely advocate for those who needed it most.

So she opened her own firm, one of the first Hispanic-owned law firms in the state. It now has three locations, including one in Wilmington and a satellite office in Dover.

“I wanted to be able to pick the cases I was passionate about taking,” she says. In each case, Castro fights tirelessly for her clients, a work ethic she credits to her mother, who raised Castro on her own.
