You know Tracy Morgan as a past star of “Saturday Night Live” and cast member of the Emmy Award-winning “30 Rock” sitcom. You may not know him as a stand-up comic. He’s a good one. Find out just how good when Morgan appears in the Rollins Center at Dover Downs Hotel & Casino on June 6. Morgan honed his comedic chops and achieved fame as a regular on SNL from 1996 through 2003. He stood out with a string of silly and slightly bent recurring characters like Astronaut Jones, Dominican Lou, Uncle Jemima, Bishop Don “Mack” Donald and Woodrow the homeless guy. Along with his own “The Tracy Morgan Show” (2003-04) and as the current host of “Scare Tactics,” Morgan has made guests appearances on “Martin,” “3rd Rock From the Sun,” Comedy Central’s “Crank Yankers,” and “Mind of Mencia.” His impressions of celebrities like Mike Tyson, Aretha Franklin, Samuel L. Jackson, Maya Angelou, Harry Belafonte, Louis Armstrong, Oprah Winfrey, Al Sharpton, Tito Jackson, Star Jones, and Mr. T are legendary. He has also appeared in such films as “Chick Magnet” and “The Longest Yard.” By now you should have concluded, his show at Dover Downs is for mature audiences only—and really, really funny.
