What to Do at the Beach This Weekend: July 6–12, 2017

Go antiquing, grab some Indian food and more.

This weekend, you can hunt for antiques and resale treasures, dance under the stars, and try out the Indigo, the long-awaited Indian restaurant that opened recently in Rehoboth Beach. With more families on vacation, there is also a bevy of activities for kids.

What: The next best thing to seeing “Babs” herself is seeing tribute artist Carla DelVillaggio. Tickets are $20–$25.

What: This new restaurant meets the big demand for Indian Cuisine.

What: This performance is part of Clear Space’s new summer children’s series. “Pinnochio” alternates Saturdays with “Snow White “ through Aug. 26. Tickets are $5.

Mike Rose: Magician at Work

What: Enjoy magic tricks and off-the-wall comedy themed around construction, building and architecture. Mike will also reference children’s books and promote library use.

68th Annual Cottage Tour

What: A benefit for the Rehoboth Art League, this self-guided tour features homes with diverse landscapes, interiors and architectural designs. You’ll see homes that are historically significant and homes that are eco-friendly. Tickets are $35 per person.

When: Tuesday, July 11, and Wednesday, July 12; 10 a.m.–3 p.m.

Where: A Jolly Trolley shuttle goes between locations. Parking is at the Rehoboth Elementary School.


Dewey Beach

Frankie Ballard with Wesley Spangler

What: Ballard is a country music singer-songwriter and guitarist who’s had four singles on the charts. Tickets are $25.

Larger than Life

What: It’s a ‘90s party on the boardwalk with a free concert by this boy-band tribute group.

Town Bonfire

What: The annual event features games and DJ Batman.

The White Party

What: A fundraiser for the Joshua M. Freeman Foundation features cocktails, dinner, a live auction, music and dancing. This popular event usually sells out, so don’t show up at the door. Tickets are $350 each.
