Beer lovers, we’ve found the event for you! Wilmington Beer Week is a celebration of local brewing in the greater Wilmington area. The 2024 Wilmington Beer Week kicked off on Tuesday, February 27, and for the rest of the week, breweries throughout the city will participate in special events, release specialty small-batch brews, introduce menu specials and more. This is the perfect time to check out that local brewery you’ve been thinking about visiting but haven’t found the time yet. Plus, you can download and print a Wilmington Beer Week Passport online and, if you make it to at least five breweries throughout the week, there’s a chance for fun prizes like gift cards for different Wilmington Beer Week breweries.
Breweries participating in this year’s Wilmington Beer Week include Bellefonte Brewing, Dew Point Brewing, Liquid Alchemy, Hangman Brewing, Iron Hill, Stitch House Brewery, Twisted Irons and Wilmington Brew Works. Each of these local businesses will celebrate with unique beer-centric events and special releases.
Plenty of local restaurants and bars are also getting in on the action this week. Eateries with impressive beer selections like Chelsea Tavern, Dorcea, Grain (Trolley Square), Two Stones Pub and The Chancery Market will feature local brews and host fun events.
This year, The Chancery Market will host a beer can exhibit in collaboration with Wilmington Beer Week & Art Loop Wilmington. The exhibit will allow visitors to take a closer look at the designs that local artists create for local brewers. Plus, locals can enjoy happy hour at The Chancery Market and check out some of the incredible fast-casual restaurants inside. Wilmington Beer Week is also a great time to take advantage of Chelsea Tavern’s $8 mini-beer flights which allow you to sample any three brews on tap during happy hour. Wilmington Brew Works kicked off Greater Wilmington Beer Week on Tuesday and released some collaborative beers to enjoy. Throughout the week, there are plenty of other fun events around Wilmington as well.
