Join the Light Up The Queen Foundation for its annual “Shine a Light on the Queen” event at World Cafe Live at the Queen on Saturday, March 4. This year’s Shine pays tribute to 1977, when “Star Wars” and “Saturday Night Fever” dominated the box office, Apple incorporated, “Fantasy Island” premiered on ABC, the world said goodbye to The King, and Coneheads became a “Saturday Night Live classic.”
VIPs will start off the party under the disco ball in the Studio 77 lounge with tunes by local fave DJ Zip, then enjoy the main show from the luxurious Queen balcony or right in front of the stage in the newly added PITT while enjoying the Shine A Light VIP buffet and open bars. After you’ve rocked out all your 1977 anthems, grab a late-night bite and swing your hips a little more at the official Shine A Light after-party at Merchant Bar at Fifth and Market.
The mission of the Light Up The Queen Foundation is to provide outreach music and arts education programs to underserved children and special needs individuals throughout the Wilmington area. Be there. Get down. See more here.
