1000 Degrees Brings its Hand-Tossed Pizza to Pike Creek

The New Jersey-based chain just opened its first location in Delaware.

Having lived in New York for a few years, I have the luxury of saying I have had my share of authentic, delicious pizza. From thin crust, to so-large-you-have-to-fold-into-an-origami-animal-style slices, I definitely have a soft spot in my heart for pizza.

So when the news hit the streets (well actually, the web) that 1000 Degrees, a fast-casual pizza place, was opening in Pike Creek—curiosity and hunger soared. Would this be the place that finally put my craving to rest?

The New Jersey-based eatery has been popping up all over the U.S., opening its first Delaware location in Pike Creek on Dec. 6. The pizzas are fired in a custom “revolving” 1000 degree Neapolitan oven, which requires no coal or wood, and operates only on natural gas. Order one of their classic pies— standouts on the menu include the quattro formaggio and the classic margherita. You can also indulge in a Roman-style pizza, which has a thicker crust.

If nothing on the menu is calling your name, there is also an option to build-your-own pizza with whichever toppings you please, and you can even build-your-own salads. There is also a selection of wings, for those of you who are following the ketogenic diet.
